Salvi Symphony - £8,000
This is a beautiful 46 string mahogany coloured Salvi Symphony Concert pedal harp with an extended soundboard. It’s approximately 30 years old and has been professionally serviced regularly by Alan Shires of Telynau Teifi and more recently by Billy Hornby at the Harp Studio, Newport, Wales when the pedal felts and wire strings were replaced.
This would be an excellent package for any harpist or harp student as it comes with a full set of padded travel covers ( recently bought so like new) , a harp trolley, a music stand, dust covers, tuning key, electric tuner a large number of spare strings and a selection of harp music.
Additionally, it has the added benefit of including a professionally installed transducer microphone and an Accusound amplifier. Perfect for playing in concerts and weddings.
It has a lovely, rich, even, mellow tone and has benefitted from only having one owner. This harp is in excellent condition, however, due to being used professionally for over 20 years, there are a few marks on the neck and the side of the soundboard. They are purely cosmetic and do not affect the sound in any way.
